Whenever the passionate song “You Are a Banner” plays, a vivid image of the Chinese Communist Party flag appears before our eyes—the hammer and sickle shining together. It is this flag that has guided China’s revolution and development through 93 years of trials and triumphs—from the misty South Lake in Jiaxing to the first shot of the Nanchang Uprising, from the decisive Zunyi Conference to strategic planning in the cave dwellings of Shaanbei, from the colorful banners waving atop Tiananmen to the grand waves of reform and opening up. This strong party, keeping pace with the times, has led the Chinese revolution and nation-building to victory and glory step by step.

The 93 years of brilliant history and outstanding achievements have proven that the Communist Party of China, guided by the principle of “serving the people wholeheartedly” and the long-term goal of achieving communism, has always represented the development requirements of China’s advanced productive forces, the forward direction of China’s advanced culture, and the fundamental interests of the broadest masses of the people. It possesses and maintains the advanced nature of a Marxist political party and remains an enduring pillar of the Chinese people and the Chinese nation.

As the cells and active agents of the Party, Communist Party members directly convey the Party’s voice and image. Being a member is not merely an honorary title; it carries sacred responsibilities and embodies noble spiritual strength. “A Party member, a banner” reflects expectations and requirements and is also a test. Every member must lead by example, letting words and deeds demonstrate the Party’s advanced nature, and always strive to add glory to the bright red Party flag.

Looking back at the smoke-filled years of war, countless outstanding Party members fought for the liberation of the people, staining the Party flag red with their blood and lives. In times of peace and nation-building, generations of Party members across all fields, with loyalty and enthusiasm, wrote magnificent chapters in the history of the Chinese nation. Figures such as Jiao Yulu, Kong Fansen, Ren Changxia, Niu Yuru, and many others exemplify selfless dedication, serving the Party and the people. In critical moments—flood rescue, the fight against SARS—they stepped forward, fearless of death, as seen in letters volunteering for the front line, the cries of “Party members, follow me!”, and the courage of those willing to risk life and limb. Such heroic deeds illuminate the Party flag with extraordinary brilliance.

As Party members of CHC, under current circumstances faced by the Group, how can we demonstrate our advanced nature and contribute to the Party flag with concrete actions?

1. Always Remember the Party’s Purpose
   Choosing to be a Party member means choosing to serve the people, dedicate oneself, and commit to the cause of communism. Members’ words and actions are examples, sources of strength, and inspiration. They must constantly play a vanguard role, never equate themselves with ordinary personnel, never lower personal standards, and lead by example. By individual effort, every member maintains the Party’s image and prestige.

1. Enhance Learning and Improve Comprehensive Competence
   Members are expected not only to have proper ideology and good character but also to excel in their professional roles, with strong knowledge and technical skills to lead others in achieving results. Modern Party members should consciously and diligently study, treat learning as a responsibility and mission, master new knowledge, improve capabilities, and develop new skills. Continuous learning ensures our knowledge and thinking keep pace with the times and enables us to remain competitive.

1. Maintain High Work Standards
   High standards lead to high-quality outcomes. This applies to thinking, decision-making, and daily work. Members should strive for excellence in their duties, diligently and meticulously performing even ordinary tasks. Mediocrity, doing tasks perfunctorily, or “just getting by” is not the character of a Party member.

1. Lead by Example in Your Position
   Members must adhere to Party standards, demonstrating dedication, diligence, innovation, realism, and teamwork. They should take responsibility first, tackle challenges first, and quietly, steadily complete assigned tasks. By their actions, they add glory to the Party flag.

A Party member is a banner; I contribute to the brilliance of the Party flag! All members must recognize the weight of this responsibility, work with dedication and a strong sense of duty, and contribute to CHC’s growth and success, creating new achievements and even greater glory.
